Testicular Cancer Question

User Profile
I am 29, & recently, I noticed a pea-size lump on the head of my epididymis. I have some slight aches & discomfort while sitting. I also have a sensation of having to continue to use the bathroom. This has occurred for a little over two weeks ago, and it has since persisted and now the pain on my left testicle has intensified. The lump appears to be solid but it is not rock-hard & is mobile above the testicle. The swollen head of the epididymis is large, pea-sized & is moderately firm. The vesicles & vas defrens are inflammed, & I seemed to get aches in my testicle, pelvis, inner-left thigh, & in my lower abdomen.
I saw my general practitioner, and he sent me for an ultrasound. He also put me on anti-anxiety meds... The ultrasound report said they found nothing but trace hydroceles, but I am frustrated because this mass is clearly here & is bigger than the other side. I have seen two urologists who claim epididymitis, spermatocele, or prostatitis? Should I be concerned?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you are worried, you can consider taking second opinion from an Andrologist or Urologist. If it is simple hydrocele, early treatment will help to relieve symptoms and complications. Visit your Andrologist or Urologist at the earliest for further evaluation and assistance. Look out for development of any new symptoms. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating Andrologist or Urologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Avoid activities that aggravate the symptoms.
Take care.

Ok: I am 64, vasectomy at 30, horrendous motorcycle accident at 21 that involved my right testicle(11 stitches in my scrotum) and despite that was able to father 2 children despite being told of 50% motility. Just in the last few days I have been experiencing rupture(believe me when I say I know what that feels like) BUT ONLY WHEN I LIE DOWN. Also evident is burning pain(sore to the touch) in the top RH center of my pelvis. I get immediate relief from all symptoms when I stand up. Not getting a whole lot of sleep as you can imagine. I can NOT pinpoint any damage to the area. Getting pretty freaked out by the posts here to do with varicoceles and testicular cancer, I live in Costa Rica and the health care here is third world at best. Anyone?
