Tamoxifen as cure for cancer ?

I googled my question: can Tamoxifen cure cancer, or does it just "help prevent" reacurrance of Breast Cancer. I found a lot of information on how it can increase chances of uterine and possible liver cancer.

Tamoxifen blocks the pro-growth effects of estrogen on both benign and cancerous breast cells that are sensitive to estrogen. Therefore, Tamoxifen can prevent the development of new breast cancers and slow down the growth of existing breast cancers. However, Tamoxifen does not "kill" breast cancer cells and, therefore, it cannot cure existing breast cancers by itself.
