Early Pregnancy Signs and Symptoms Answer A13639
Hi,
Welcome to the forum. I am really glad to help you out. In view of the symptoms described by you, you seem to be at risk of threatened miscarriage. Firstly, you should confirm the pregnancy by getting the urine pregnancy test done or the getting the serum beta HCG levels assessed.

The serum test is a more sensitive test compared to the urine test. For the same, usually, per speculum examination is carried out by the obstetrician to see if the mouth of the uterus is open or not. In case, the mouth called the cervical os is called, then not to worry. A few lab tests also should be done like the complete blood count which includes the hemoglobin to see if your hemoglobin has not gone down due to bleeding.

The white cell count tells if there’s any infection which might need treatment. The ultrasound is also done to rule an ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy in the fallopian tubes instead of uterus). Once these things are fine, I don’t think there should be anything to worry. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
