Symptoms of Kidney Stones

Kidney plays an essential role in moving out the toxins from our body through urine.
They aren’t just one big filtering sponge, though. Every minute, about one liter of blood (one fifth of all the blood pumped by the heart) enters the kidneys through the renal arteries.
How Kidney Stone Formed
The leading cause of kidney stones is a lack of water. When there is not enough water to dilute the uric acid (component of urine), the pH level within the kidney drops and becomes more acidic.
Urgent Medical Attention
Urgent medical attention required when you see symptoms that may include severe pain on either side of your lower back, blood in the urine, dehydration, urine that smells bad or looks cloudy, Nausea or vomiting, high fever, a poor appetite, ankles and feet got swollen, muscles cramping and dry and itchy skin.

Some kidney stones may not produce symptoms (known as "silent" stones), people who have kidney stones often report the sudden onset of excruciating, cramping pain in their low back and/or side, groin, or abdomen.

Changes in body position do not relieve this pain. The abdominal, groin, and/or back pain typically waxes and wanes in severity, characteristic of colicky pain. It may be so severe that it is often accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

The pain has been described by many as the worst pain of their lives, even worse than the pain of childbirth or broken bones.
