symptoms are getting me depressed

User Profile
I am a depressive person and do take anti-depressive medication. However, I have this weird stuff going on and it seems to ruin my day. I get this a lot and the symptoms are hard to pin to anything. The symptoms I get are enough to keep me from doing anything during the day unless I just work through them. I have a constant ringing in my ears, but on these days it is much louder. If I either turn my head or swipe my eyes from side to side, I get a swooshing feeling, not really dizziness, more of a sensation in my head. All of this tends to make my whole person feel bad, enough to where I do not do anything. My doctor tells me it's not sinus because my nose and ears seem clear to him. When I have sinus x-rays taken, nothing shows up. I do get migraines, both with and without aura, but when I am like this, I do not have any headache, only slight pressure above either my right or left eye.

I am so frustrated with health professionals that I have seen, mainly my main provider, because I can't get any help. I have been tested for Meniere's disease, vertigo, etc... I have been tested for sleep apnea and it was positive for light to moderate. I do not use a CPAC because I couldn't tolerate it.

These symptoms tend to worsen when cold and windy weather moves in.
I wonder if anyone out there can recommend what type of physician I could see. I need help.

Hello and welcome to EHF !

I went through your query and i understand your concern.Sleep apnea, use of CPAP and many other illnesses lead to depression. Tricyclic antidepressants will help both the depression and tinnitus. Get evaluated for any hearing loss too. Seek help of a therapist and let them make the troubles soothed both with pharmacologic as well as alternative measures.

Take care
