Key features of inflammatory arthritis are stiffness in the morning or after inactivity, and visible joint swelling.
Rheumatoid arthritis is characterized with symetrical involving of the same joint areas in both hands.
You are complaining about one hand being stiff and swollen, so, other conditions related with inflammatory arthritis need to be taken in consideration, like psoriasis, colitis, ankylosing spondylitis.

Best wishes!
