suffering from tetany , hyperventilating

User Profile
I suffered from tetany two months ago on a plane. My hands, face, neck, and arms were affected. I put it down to just been very stressed out and I was probably hyperventilating.

Today while do some exercise (Kayak) I started feeling my hands seize but it stopped once I breathed in a bag. I had maybe some adrenaline and was breathing alot because I was tired but this never happens when I run or bike. Can this be a serious condition?. I will get blood tests done this week.
