Hello to all! I just wanted to post an update and at the same time possibly give someone out there encouragement. I have been clean for about 8 years now and though it has been tough at times, I'm still here and putting one step in front of the other. I constantly have to remind myself that I have a family that needs me and making good decisions will keep me on a path to success and freedom. It doesn't take much to return to a lifestyle that will slowly break you down and before you know it, you can be back in very place you started. We are not promised tomorrow and its up to us to keep pressing in and keeping our heads above water. I give God the glory because without Jesus as my rock and my anchor who knows where i would be today. Keep on keepin on folks....there are better days ahead!!!!

Hello and welcome to EHF !

I went through your query and i understand your concern. Its refreshing to know that you are staying sober for 8 years. In order to stay so you need constant group therapies to stay sober. Support groups reduce the chances of relapsw.

Take care
