After six plus years thinking I had Parkinsons disease I just recently was diagnosed with Stiff Persons Syndrome. Does any one out there have any experience with this? My neurologist tells me it is very rare. One in a million. Right now my head is spinning. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Have you had this confirmed with a 2nd opinion?

I'll admit I don't recall of hearing about stiff person syndrome. Just now googling and like you said it is rare.

A clinical case was reported in April 2008 issue of the Neurology Journal. The patient's symptoms improved unexpectedly from propofol administration.

Have you checked out NORD (National Organization for Rare Disorders)? You may want to google rarediseases.

bearman442, I wish you the absolute best.
