I am a 32 year old female. I just got results back from and STI screening. It shows I have low fusobacterium nucleatum, lactobacillus iners, lactobacillus jensenii and lactobacillus and high gardnerella and garderella vaginalis. What does this mean and what do I need to do to treat it?

I read your question and I understand your concern.
You have detected to have some infections inside and yes,treatment is only needed if you are symptomatic.Gardnerella vaginalis infection is a sexually transmitted disease]. The Gardnerella vaginalis infection of the urogenital tract, an STD, is of clinical importance in females. Metronidazole (1 g/day for 5 days) is the drug of first choice in G. vaginalis infection.
