stay at home mom- can't make friends...

User Profile
Why cant I make friends? I have recently moved from Florida to West Virginia then to Ohio all in less than a year. I have been in Ohio for 6 months now and I cant seem to find a friend. I don\\\'t know anyone here. I am a stay at home mom of 2 small children. I am looking forward to the kids starting school in August, but how will I ever survive the summer with no one to talk to. I have my husband, but we hardly agree on anything. I just want a friend. I miss my family terribly. I have turned to smoking legal Marjuana to make me feel better. Now, I cant seem to stop. I have made an appointment with a therapist, but It is in a week.. I am going to go crazy! =/

Welcome to ehealthforum

Being alone and without friends, family or anyone you can go in a depressive state and suffer from various other problems. You need to go out and meet new people, talk to them.Go to other places as swimming, gym etc where you can make friends.Try calling your old friends and family and talk to them on phone.
Do some form of meditation and yoga which will help you in relaxation.
Watch TV,listen music.
Kindly visit a Therapist for evaluation.
