started vomiting bile a couple days after surgery

User Profile
My husband had his gallbladder removed a little over 2 weeks ago. He started suffering from vomiting bile a couple days after and has suffered from vomiting and nausea since. The dr put him on zofran but it isn't really helping. He can hardly eat anything without feeling or getting sick. What could be causing this and how do we fix it?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Nausea and vomiting after gallbladder surgery is common and resolves with passage of time. Small frequent meals with less spices and fatty food will help. Visit our iBS health center for further food guidance.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
