1st Sonography for IUI is on 18-05-2016

My wife's menstruate cycle is not regular and also my sperm count is 12 millions/ml. So My doctor decided to do IUI. Today 15/05/2016 and on 18/05/2016 doctor call us for sonogrphy. But i dont know that what to do and don't before IUI and after IUI. Is there a possibility of insertion of sperm in my wife's womb on first sonogrphy as on 18/05/2016. Please tell me everything in details. And what shold we both have to do and don't. Please guide me sir.

I read your question and I understand your concern.
The IUI is done on those dates when your wife's egg is matured enough.How to know the maturity? With the help of the sonography. Your sperm will be collected,processed and will be injected inside your wife's uterus with the help of a specialized syringe.
