Hi. I have been having a squeezing and tightness feeling in the center of my upper chest for 2 weeks now. I can not figure out if anything triggers it. It is there just sitting at rest. I went to the ER and they did an EKG and some labs. they all came back good. Its scary because to me it feels like my heart. Its not stomach related since I have GERD and know what that feels like and its in the center upper chest where my heart is. could this be signs of an up coming heart attack?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
Squeezing and tightness in the centre of chest implies angina. I would suggest you stress radionuclide scan followed by CT angiography to sort it out.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
