sorta day 9 for opiate withdrawal

this started with a tumor in my bile duct in 2002, had two mAJOR surgeries within 12 months. i had zero problem getting off pain meds. i got ill again on march 30, 2011 and omg, i am at a point i cant function without pain meds. i have serious issues so the pain doctors are delighted to give me anything i want.. which is bad. My husband does take half my meds whenever i get anything. 9 days ago i stopped all meds.. at 4 days my neighbor gave me a percocet and i was finally able to sleep. on day 7 i went to the hospital and got IV dilauded and a script for 10 percs. i gave my husband 4 of the 10 and took the next 6 first thing yesterday morning. obviously i had a great day yesterday. today i woke up still feeling better than i had day 6 or 7. i felt good from 7;30am to about 9:45am. now i cant move. will it still get better every day? ...or do i start the whole thing over again when i caved yesterday? have zero "dope-sick" feelings.. its all mental now.

I'm sorry but you have to put this in paragraphs. It's too hard to read all squished together.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Bile duct tumor surgery followed by pain needing supportive care is necessary to be managed with painkillers. Your pain management expert doctors should taper your doses to minimum possible effective dosages. However sharing your meds with your husband is not wise if he does not need them for medical purposes.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
