Solid Mass on Distal Tibia

19 year old Male...I have a 2/3cm lump on my distal tibia, around 8 inches above the ankle. It’s solid, and appears fixed to the bone itself. It doesn’t move at all when I try to move it side to side. It’s painless, but has been here for around 3 weeks. I had no trauma before discovering the lump, no bruising either when I found it. I would think nothing except i'm a med student and came across a scenario like this a few weeks ago which had me wondering.

It is impossible to offer patients a specific diagnosis over the internet, unfortunately. This mass may be a benign osteoma, or it may be something else.

I suggest that you have an orthopedic surgeon evaluate this mass.
