I had a bout of diarrhoea about a week and a half ago lasting 3 days. My stomach still doesn't feel right, I have lots of bloating, nausea, passing gas and stomach grumbling. I am also passing very soft foul smelling stools. I was diagnosed with IBS about 7 years ago but do not take any medication as it has been more settled in the past few years. Do I still have a virus or could it just be an IBS flare up? What would help settle my stomach?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Try with taking some probiotic preparations for a week, it should help you in settling your stomach issues. Take high fiber diet and drink plenty of water. Look out for any worsening of symptoms. Visit your doctor/gastroenterologist for further evaluation, clarification and assistance. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gastroenterologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
