I've been smoking about five cigarettes a day since the past five years, not sure if its called heavy smoking. I recently brought it down to two cigarettes a day since the past month. I've been sweating excessively all these years, and I've noticed that when I smoke, I immediately start sweating even if I am in a cool place. I know people who smoke twenty in a day and still don't sweat.

So if I stop smoking, lets say, Monday evening, how long should it take for the nicotene to leave the body so that I can expect a drop in the excessive sweating?

I have severe night sweats, that is, I sweat profusely while sleeping. This has been going on for many years and after seeing Dr and having tests to rule out any conditions, he suggested I not have caffeine after 4pm and that stopping smoking would probably help. I am in process of quitting with Champix now, so hopefully I will soon find out if Dr was right!
