Since she got her period she isn't pregnant right?

User Profile
My girlfriend and I had sex without a condom. She is on the pill though and she got her period on time. Since she got her she isn't pregnant right? It was also scheduled according to the times she takes her placebo pills. I'm asking because it's her college finals week and she threw up this morning . She said its stress but I'm worried and would just like someone opinion please and thank you:)!

Birth Control Answer A52103
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If she is regular in taking her birth control pills at scheduled time daily and not missed any active pill intake then she should have protection. Wait and watch for her next periods. Look out for development of any new symptoms if pregnancy is suspected. She should visit her doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance if she does not get her periods within 10 days of expected period dates, or if she gets abnormal bleeding. If pregnancy gets ruled out and if you are not ready for pregnancy, but intend to remain sexually active, you should consider using back-up protection if she is not regular in taking her birth control pills at scheduled time daily. She should be regular with birth control use as instructed. Avoid having unprotected sexual contact if you are not ready for pregnancy.
Take care.
