shedding what I believe are pieces of uterine lining,

My periods are extremely irregular, I usually only get 2-3 a year. I had one in the beginning of May and haven't had one since. Throughout the day today I have been shedding what I believe are pieces of uterine lining, but without any blood. This has never happened to me before. Is this normal or should I be worried?

Definitely you should be worried. But not only for this thick lining which you are getting now, but also, for those long pauses between your cycles. Just meet your GP or preferably an OBG consultant to have an opinion. This could be due to lot of causes and some of them could be serious enough needing treatment.
