she has expectations and I get nervous

User Profile
I got married a couple of years ago. I am 29 years old. I used to masturbate once in a day for 4-5 days a week before getting married. I then gave up masturbation after getting married.

We initially had unprotected sex and I was struggling to ejaculate during sex, but eventually started ejaculating after 6 months.

My wife is 30 years old and she is taking treatment for egg release since 5 months.

Every time doctor gives her important dates post egg release, I am unable to ejaculate during/post our intercourse. when we have intercourse during the non important dates, I am able to ejaculate with ease. Its causing a great level of stress to my wife and passing to me..

I advised her to stop going for treatment and not to keep high expectations. During these so called important dates, she has a lot of expectations and I get nervous and during our intercourse, I show a lot of excitement, anxiety and my instrument suddenly loses its hardness and I begin to feel tired and we give up

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Stress and mental blocks play important role in erection and ejaculation. If you are planning for a baby, let her continue with her treatment. Delaying it can cause problems later due to advanced maternal age. Do not worry about the so called ‘important dates’. Try to have intercourse every 1-2 days and continue the same during her entire menstrual cycle. It will not give you undue pressure to ‘perform’ during those dates as you will be having ‘regular’ intercourse. Avoid expectations and overconfidence/excitement. Take it as a natural process and not ‘work’.
Take care.
