Welcome to ehealthforum,
The discharge could be suggestive of possible implantation bled, ovulation bleeding or breakthrough bleeding due to hormonal imbalances (irregularity of periods), infective causes etc. If her cycles are irregular, ovulation day cannot be predicted with accuracy. She should consider visiting her doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for examination and further evaluation especially to rule out infective causes and chances of pregnancy. If infective cause is detected, both of you should get treated simultaneously to prevent re-infection.
She should also consider going ahead with further evaluations done to look for the underlying cause for the irregular periods. Treatment as appropriate would be started based on examination and investigation results to help her regulate the periods.
Take care.
