Can anyone help? Ever since I was young - I am now 45, occasionally just before or at the start of my period I get a stabbing pain in my left arm. It only lasts for a minute or so but is extremely painful. Once my period has finished so does the pain, at the moment my period only lasts a couple of days but is very heavy and has a lot of clots. Can anyone give me more info?

Welcome to ehealthforum

Since you are in the perimenopausal age irregular periods would be a common presentation now and gradually they would decrease and stop.
If there is any other symptom as pain, abnormal vaginal discharge then consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.
