Hi, welcome to the ehealth forum and I am glad to help you.
You seem concerned by the chances of your girlfriend becoming pregnant during sexual activity on the 6th day of her menstrual cycle.
Pre-ejaculated fluid can contain some sperms. That fluid placed in or near the vagina has the potential to cause pregnancy, though at a far less probability.
A man's sperm can survive up to six days inside a woman. Therefore, so long as the sperm was placed anywhere within the six days prior to a woman's egg release, she can potentially become pregnant.
Ovulation normally takes approximately two weeks after the last day of a woman’s period. Some women who have shorter cycles will ovulate after a week, while others with very long cycles may ovulate after three weeks. You have not mentioned the average length of menstrual cycle in your girlfriend. But as explained above there is theoretical possibility of pregnancy though at a far less probability.
Hope this helps. Take care.
