sense of smell return to normal after menopause ?

Does your sense of smell return to normal after menopause ? I'm smelling smoke where there is none and other smells.

Hello,
As such there is no relationship with exaggerated sense of smell with menopause as a general but yes,it exists. Yes it's something many a women experienced too, but seems to have worn off. Can't tell you how long it took and why all postmenopausal ladies donot have it but it is one of the very atypical symptoms of menopause.
