I'm doing what I know I shouldn't: looking up symptoms on the internet and freaking myself out. All I know is that it has been a LONG time since I have really felt great. Since I was a kid I've had problems with allergies/sinuses. As a teen the whole sinus problem got worse. I also developed stomach problems, like a nervous stomach...symptoms like dirreha, bloating, gas, nausea...I notice it more when I'm worried or nervous. I moved to a new state at age 18 and my sinuses just went crazy, really high mold/pollen count here. All I know is that I feel drained or low energy often, I often have sinus pressure/pain and the stomach thing has been an off/on problem. I was diagnosed last December with Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) after 9 years of feeling light headed and freaked out. Travel Sickness pills have helped some and just the fact that knowing what was causing the dizzy/light headed feeling helped the anxiety go away.

Here are the facts: I do smoke (not good, I know). I don't drink or take drugs. I do sometimes have depression/anxiety. I do have problems sleeping, usually caused by back pain or just the inability to stay asleep without waking for no reason and staying up too late and having to get up early. I have been taking probiotics and have noticed my stomach does feel better. Nothing seems to help with the sinus problems or no energy feeling. I do not actively exercise and I know my diet could use improvement.

There are the facts. Please tell me that I am just freaking myself out and that I am normal. It just feels like so much is wrong sometimes or that I just never feel good for one reason or another.

First of all, I'm not sure what you are asking. If you're worried about your stomach, don't be, the reason people have stomach problems when they are nervous or anxious is due to the "fight or flight" mechanism. The heart rate increases, you may get lightheaded, and your body basically shuts everything down so you can either fight or run away(flight). The reason you get stomach problems is because the brain shuts down the stomach in order to get everything out of your system so you have nothing weighing you down. Your allergies are probably due to the fact that there is a lot more pollen in the air, you should really see a doctor about that condition so he can prescribe you something. The draining of energy is due to your sinuses, sinus infections are basically like being sick, it drains your body of energy. You really should improve your diet, start taking vitamins and minerals, and start exercising more often. You should also quit smoking, it's a very expensive way to kill yourself.

All of your symptoms sound like you have a food allergy!! GO Gluten free. Research food allergies and you will find that most if not all of your symptoms sound like celiac disease. I know this from research and trying to help my brother who feels the same way as you! It also causes anxiety due to thinking that something major is going on! Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies every one. I have been tested for celiac a few years ago and it came back negative. I do believe that my feeling generally bad is just a huge combination of things. I do have sinus problems and had plans to see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist about it, but unfortunately lost my job and insurance. I will have to wait until I have another job to find out what is going on with the sinus/allergy thing.
I am just so tired of feeling below par all of the time and feeling like so many things at once are hurting or just not feeling right. Currently I have having pain in my lower left hip that spreads to my lower left abdomen. I've had it before, but it doesn't seem to be improving. That is just another thing for me to freak out about. Ahhhh! Why can't I just feel normal!??!

You can test negative for Celiac disease and still be gluten intolerant! Please do your research on being Gluten intolerant and try it! It is worth eliminating from your diet to see what improvements you have in your mental and physical health. You can be gluten intolerant and not have Celiac disease. Good Luck and take care!!
