seek another opion before start a fourth antibotic?

User Profile
i have endometrosis, been on and off lupron for about 4 years. I recently switched dr's for a second opion. the last month ihave been on 3 diffrent antibotics to treat an infection that will not go away. I have been having pain with intercourse (which is kinda of normal, but more pain lately) with bleeding after words, also bleeding after working out at the gym. i had just had an ultrasound done a few days ago, which it hurt and the tech had told me that there alot of vessels on my cervix ( i got a call today form the dr's office saying the ultra sound looked good). there is more going on just not sure if it all ties in with what is going on or not. but i am worried that there is more going on with me, and i just want to know if i should seek another opion before start a fourth antibotic?

Endometriosis Answer A30331
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
The possibility of worsening or spread of endometriosis cannot be ruled out (as suggested by your symptoms). Consider discussing with your treating doctor/gynecologist about laparoscopic examination to visualize the extent and locations of the endometrial growths along with their removal. Try for pregnancy after the procedure (if you are planning for baby). Pregnancy is considered to be natural cure for endometriosis. Endometriosis is also associated with increased incidence of infections, hence correction of endometriosis will also diminish recurrence of infection. If you are not planning for baby at present, then you can consider getting started on regression therapy for endometriosis control after the laparoscopic procedure is done. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet.
Take care.
