I stupidly had sex with a prostitute, protected vaginal sex and unproteced oral (both ways). Since then I've been having swollen lymph nodes in my groin and armpit, as well as pain in my left testicle. I've also been feeling pain in my head, neck and ears.

I had a HIV test at the 7 week point, currently waiting for my results. I know i'll have to get another one at the 3 point mark assuming it comes back negative.

Does it sound like I've got HIV?

Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm going out of my mind at the moment and can't sleep.

Welcome to e health forum.

Your symptoms are not indicative of HIV. They more likely appear to be due to streptococcal pharyngitis related inflammatory reaction.

Consulting your doctor for a physical examination and prescription of antibiotics to clear the infection might be helpful.

But since you did have exposure to a high risk individual, testing for HIV at regular intervals should be done.
