Hello Doctor,

I am W21 now. I took ultrasound scan yesterday and my doctor told that, the right kidney of the placenta is prominent. It is 5 mm. Left kidney is in normal condition. it is 3 mm. Doctor asked me to take another ultrasound after 6 weeks and also told me not to worry about this problem. I am afraid that whether this problem will affect my baby after birth and also this will come to normal without any treatment before the delivery.

Thank you

It is too early to make any assumptions at this stage. A repeat ultrasound after a few weeks can give a clear picture.

Follow up with your doctor for a proper opinion.
