My psychiatrist just prescribed Rexulti. Since I am a poor metabolizer, it's a low dose. How effective is this medicine and how long does it take to work?

Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Brexpiprazole is a SDAM drug i.e a serotonin dopamine activity modulator. Its an effective drug in depression and schizophrenia. One has to periodically look for efficacy and response of the treatment on individual basis. It has been found effective for the above conditions and is FDA approved.

Wishing you best of health
