reviews about Gardasil post shot, is it safe?

User Profile
I had my second Gardasil shot yesterday. I can say after 6 hours I had sore right arm eventhough the injection was on my other arm. I don't know if it is spasm, I'm so afraid after reading some reviews about Gardasil post shot that some young girls have been parallized or continue having this spasm in their upper body. Could it get worsen after the 3rd shot ? Is it really safe to get the shot?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
It is difficult to attribute your symptoms to the Gardasil shot if you have not had any reactions to your previous shot. The spasm in the opposite arm could be due to various reasons. If symptoms do not subside with few hours, or if you develop any other symptoms, or if spasm is progressive, or if you have loss of sensation like touch, strength or pain, then you should not ignore your symptoms and visit your treating doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for further evaluation to look for the underlying cause, and get started on appropriate treatment measures (based on evaluation results) to help control the symptoms. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
Take care.
