Respiratory Tract Infections ,Asthma and Allergies

My 5 yr. old daughter has frequent repiratory tract infections and cough . Am i doing bad to her by giving her a bath before going to sleep at night? I feel it's not harming her as i don't take her out at nights and expose her to cold weather also i dry her hair and keep her warm. Her Dr. told me its good to bathe her so all the germs can come out, but my neighbor tells me that I am making her health worst ,by giving her a bath .That she would never give her kids a bath until they were not sick even if it was a week or more.

Thank you for asking

Stupid neighbours. bathing is always good. Warm baths, and no exposure to cold afterwards is the key. It should be perfectly fine. Nothing to worry about. it rather helps the kid and hygiene spares a kid from a lot of complications. Rest these coughs and bad chests are structural entities fo children and should not be worried about. Let the kid's internal defence combat it.

Take care
