relief for a pinched nerve or a muscle pull?

User Profile
I have been having pain in my upper left arm for a couple of weeks. It hurts when I stretch my arm out to the side and down, not when it is over my head. Sometimes it feels like the muscle it tightening around the top of my arm. Sometimes it feels like my thumb is getting numb and sometimes my fingers tingle. I am thinking that it is either a pinched nerve or a muscle pull. What can I do to relieve the pain and tingling sensation.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. Take some tylenol and get some physio therapy exercises to relive this likely muscle pull or pinched nerve. if it persists, consult a neurologist or an orthopaedic and let them help.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
