I have these symmetrical red dots on the under side of my chin. There are about 17 of them in rows, almost like a 4x4 square or something. I sometimes get something like this, but its usually only one or two dots in the same place. It doesn't hurt or itch . They aren't raised bumps...just red dots. What could this be?

Hi,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. One of the possibilities for such dots which appear randomly and then disappear after some days is hives or allergies. The other possibility is of petechiae. Hives have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places. I suggest you to get an examination done from a dermatologist.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
