I had ACL, meniscus surgery in December 2018 and i am starting to go more frequently to the gym and running. I have started noticing that when I fully straighten my leg it pops and grinds but doesn't hurt. Is there a way to get that to go away or is it okay doing that?

Its fine. You shouldn't be much concerned about it.
