ran out of birth control, been using condoms since...

So, I ran out of birth control mid November (been using condoms since), and I got my normal period on time mid-December. Right before new years, I bled again, but lightly and for 3 days, not like a normal period, and it was right in the middle of my cycle. I am still off BC, was going to start after my January period, but now my January period is like 4 days late (not normal for me). I took a pregnancy test yesterday, says I'm not pregnant. Any ideas what's going on with me? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

As you've not been taking your pill it's your body going through the withdrawl of not having the hormones that the pill was giving you.

Because of this, your periods are going to be all over the place for about 6 months. As you know you are not pregnant, I would suggest you get back on the pill sooner rather than later.

And also, when you go back on the pill, you will need to use condoms for the first 7 days just like you did when you first started on the pill originally.
