questions to ask myself or my boyfriend?

User Profile
Hello, I have just found out that I am pregnant. I have had an abortion once before, not by choice, my baby was sick, although it did hit me pretty hard because even though it was unexpected I think I wanted to keep it. Now, I am pregnant again, and can't decide what do to. My boyfriend told me that it is my choice and he will stay by my side through it all. I trust him since he stood by me the last time. I don't feel I can handle going through an abortion again, when we talked about it, his opinion was to have the abortion because financially we aren't ready, we're moving and saving up money, he feels right now isn't the best time, and that we can try for one later. I'm undecided, but feel a little pressured from every angle. My sister who is three years older than I has to get a hysterectomy and can't have children, and here I am thinking about getting rid of one. I don't know what kind of questions to ask myself or my boyfriend on what I should do. I just don't know what to

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Follow your heart in deciding what you want, because, if you had been depressed or feeling guilty over your last miscarriage/abortion, then having abortion now might lead to worsening of symptoms and push you into depression. Since there are other pressures around you, you can consider keeping the baby (especially if your partner has agreed to stand by your decision) and proceeding with pregnancy (afterall it takes nine months to have your baby, so you can try making yourself financially strong/stable by the time your due date approaches). Having multiple or repeated abortion/miscarriage can affect your fertility and cause problems in conception in future. Discuss with your doctor/gynecologist and proceed with further decision. Counseling might also help. Hope this helps.
Take care.
