I have a rare genetic disorder that causes severe joint damage and as a result I have been a wheelchair user for several years. I have had many abdominal surgeries that have left me with a huge hernia. I was punched yesterday in the hernia and it hurts a lot. What should I do?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. This pain in hernia site needs to be examined for the any trauma. Oh now you need just some good pain Killers like acetaminophen or any other NSAIDs. If the issue persists consult your doctor and let them have a look and work you up for other possible causes.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
