PTSD vivid nightmares and Vitamins/Supplements

I was wondering if others with PTSD have had any trouble with certain vitamins or supplements causing either nightmares or terrors. I notice a huge difference in my well being during the day if I have had a restful nights sleep and triggers don't effect me as much, but when I have nightmares about my ptsd issues I feel really down in the dumps the next day. I take the bComplex vitamins to help calm my body during the day. Just trying to figure out what might be making my dreams so vivid. Are there certain vitamins and/or supplements people with PTSD stay away from because it makes their problems worse?

Hello and welcome to EHF !

I went through your query and i believe these nightmares some times are usually an aftershock in ptsd. Vitamin supplements like B complex are very benign ingredients and cannot lead to vivid dreams. Just consult your psychiatrist and psychotherapist and let them help you tackle these dreams.

Take care.
