PTSD from heart attack

My boyfriend has PTSD from a severe heart attack. He has a blood clotting disorder that lead to a severe heart attack and pulmonary embolism. He died and was revived multiple times. He now experiences PTSD when he hears ambulance alarms, or sees heart attack scenes in movies.

Our relationship is fairly new and I'm trying to find the best way to help him with this. I tried finding a list of movies that have heart attack scenes in them but not much luck. Just looking for some tips on how to be helpful for him.

Thank you!

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
He would need psychotherapy sessions like CBT to combat this problem.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
