pressure was unbearable on flight after cold/flu

I need a bit of advice please.
I had a cold/mild flu over 2 weeks ago and travelled on a 2hr flight. On the decent I got a violent headache and a burning pins and needles sensation down right side of my face. The pressure was unbearable. I went on to develop a sinus infection and blocked ears which never popped. When I came back to my own country 5 days later I got an antibiotic from my doctor. I forgot to mention the flight to him.
Now after completing my antibiotic my Sinuses have cleared but my right ear remains blocked. I seem to have lost mysense of taste somewhat any sense of smell is completely gone even though my head and nose are now clear.
I am getting worried now and wonder if anyone has any advice before I spend more money on going to the doctor?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Colette

Welcome to e health forum.

It seems that you had developed a episode sinusitis and Otitis media and have been undergoing treatment for them.

Your current symptoms or concerns do not sound to be alarming, and can be expected to improve soon.

You can use antihistamines and decongestants (available over the counter) and they can help in further resolution.

I hope this helps.
