prescribed me sprintec 28 day tab, will i gget pregnant?

Hello I had my pap smear on 9/28/2010... my results came negative and the gyn told me that everything is excellent..i told him that i have irregular period and he prescribed me sprintec 28 day tab..and he told me that my period will regulate.. now im scared and confused..will i ever get pregnant?? please help what should i do???

Welcome to ehealthforum.
If you want to get pregnant, it is important that you have periodic ovulation (egg release from ovary). The cause of irregular periods is often anovulatory cycles (cycles without having egg release from ovary). Consider discussing your pregnancy plans with your treating doctor/gynecologist and go ahead with a complete infertility work-up to look for the cause for the irregular menstrual cycles. Treatment would be started as needed based on the investigation results to help you get pregnant.
