Pregnancy signs but negative results

Hi,
I have missed 2 periods, have very sore breasts, back pain, occassional cramps and absolute exhaustion. I test regularly but always get a negative result even though I feel pregnant. My GP is going to do a blood test but I will have to wait over a week for that result. If I am right I am in wk 10 of pregnancy.
Has anyone else gone through this, and if so did you turn out to be pregnant or was another reason found for your symptoms. I want to start planning for this pregnancy but am scared that I will be wrong.
Thanks
Gaynor

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

According to the symptoms you have described( sore breasts, back pain, occassional cramps and absolute exhaustion)seems like pregnancy.Urine tests have false results so they are not confirmatory. It determines the detectable HCG level in urine so may be the levels are low. Also sometimes in case of ectopic pregnancy(fertilization outside uterus)it can be negative.
Blood HCG test is a confirmatory test to determine pregnancy. You can also have USG scan for the confirmation.Kindly visit a gynaecologist for correct diagnosis.

Take Care!
