pregnancy after miscarriage, had two health pregnancies

I found out that I was pregnant with my third about two weeks ago but because of how the tests were being, the doctor ordered a blood test that showed I was for sure pregnant however the level was only 7 and ordered another one and just recently found out today that I miscarried and wasn't that far into pregnancy according to the doctors was only a week. There was some bleeding for a few days but it wasn't heavy like and didn't think anything was wrong. What are the chances of this happening again if I got pregnant. Already had two health pregnancies so I don't understand it how this had happened. And how soon after is a good time to try again or should period return.

Hello, Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

I am very sorry to hear about the pregnancy loss. However fertility is restored soon after abortion and you can start trying for conception after 1-2 normal periods.

For conception, try having intercourse every month around your ovulation days as it is the best time for conceiving. Ovulation is the release of a single, mature egg from a follicle that developed in the ovary. It usually occurs regularly, around day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle. The best timing of intercourse in order to conceive is day 10, 12, 14 and 16 (in case of late ovulation) of a 28 day cycle. After intercourse, do not wash immediately and keep on lying for some time. You can also keep a pillow under your buttocks so that semen does not come out.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and regards.
