Pot smoking , pain and heaviness in chest

chest pain and marijuana
my 18 year old son who has been smoking pot for a year now almost everyday,came to me and said that he is having constant pain and heaviness in his chest,could this be related to his pot smoking?

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. I am really glad to help you out. This could be related to the pot smoking. These drugs can cause the spasm (sustained contraction) of the coronary arteries (heart vessels) causing this heaviness and pain. Moreover, it is detrimental for the lungs too and thus it makes sense to give it up at the earliest.

Hence, I will suggest you to advise him to give up the same. You can contact a drug de-addiction centre for the same. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
