In August, I went to Mass Eye and Ear for surgery. I had surgery which found that I had a broken stapes, which was replaced, and a hole in my inner ear, which was patched. After surgery, I was told that all was well, but things were not right from the beginning. My hearing was limited, but I thought that it was from the packing. To make a long story short, I managed to lose ALL hearing in that ear, rather than gaining some of which that I lost. I have no idea what went wrong, but was told simply that my body rejected the surgery. Since the operation and diagnosis of surgery failure, I have had no contact with the hospital. I am a teacher. The classroom is a nightmare, as I cannot tell from where sounds are originating. My questions are: how do I know what happened to my inner ear? Is it reversible? Should I

As I think you need to go to ear specialist doctor to know about the reason.
