possible to be pregnant day after mirena removed?

pregnant day after iud removal?

Hi i had my iud removed and had the bleeding from the removal.the next day we had intercourse and i keep cramping like I'm gonna start my period but nothing for 3 days.could it be possible that I'm pregnant??? I had the most awful cramps and lower abdomin pain a few days ago and it was removed a little over a week ago.I cramped like this with my first pregnancy so I'm wondering of it could be the same or just my body trying to get back to it possible to conceive the day after removal? I have also started to have a watery discharge for about 2 days with kind of a period smell, sorry tmi but im just wondering what it could be. I know the chances of conception are low but still worried because i want to have one period before we ttc.

Welcome to ehealthforum,
The IUD should be removed while you are having periods. If the IUD was removed during your menstrual bleeding, chances of pregnancy can be ruled out as the chances of egg being present around menstrual bleeding are nil. After IUD removal it may take few days for fertility/ovulation to return (if your body gets back to normal in immediate menstrual cycle). The cramps and the discharge that you describe could indicate infection or PID. Visit your doctor for further evaluation, clarification and assistance.
Take care.

how soon after Mirena removal could I get pregnant?
I had my IUD removed 7 weeks ago and I haven't had any cramping or bleeding at all yet. I have 6 children already so I know that I shouldnt have a problem there. I am wondering if I could have gotten pregnant immediately? Is it even possible to get pregnant that soon? I never had a period while the mirena was in for 3 1/2 years either.
