Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. This is not cancer . Every chronic Hepatitis C patient has a tendency to develop a cirrhotic liver after 10 to 15 years. He has developed cirrhosis which is end stage liver liver disease your patient needs to be evaluated for the genotype of Hepatitis C and be treated with antivirals which are very easily available these days and should be considered for liver transplant. Let your Gastroenterologist decide if he is eligible for one and plan the best possible management for your patient.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
