Elizabeth, Grace, Olivia, and Violet are all lovely names, yet Adalyn isn't - it's more of a trendy name, though not the worst of them. You'd still be better off using Adela, Adelaide, Adeline or Adelina, or plain Ada or Lynn.

For combinations:

Elizabeth Grace
Grace Adelaide
Grace Adeline
Grace Elizabeth
Olivia Violet
Violet Elizabeth
Violet Olivia

I wouldn't call Adalyn Grace timeless, it's very contemporary, in fact. In fifty years, it'll be horribly turn-of-the-century and very unfashionable. The Adalyn part may have qualities similar to certain older and more legitimate names, which I assume is what you mean by 'timeless;' however Adalyn itself is a modern creation. Grace has been used since the reformation, but as a middle name, is extremely popular now.

There are many of better names that may be considered timeless that sound a bit like Adalyn, use one of those instead:

Ada
Adela
Adele
Adelaide
Adelina
Adeline

Just jumble them up and try to come up with nicknames that would make you cringe~that way you know which ones NOT to name her. I have only 2 pieces of advice~one, don't use Adelaide, it sounds like a medicine no matter what they tell you~it's way out of date and it will be kinda hard for her young friends to pronounce. Two~don't let people discourage you from the names you truly do like....this isn't their child, this is yours and she deserves to have a name from her mommy more than anyone. Strangers can always give you advice but you don't have to take it. ~xoxo~

Do you mean Madeleine Grace, or were you influenced by the poor spelling in the original post?

....how can it be poor spelling? It''s a name. She can spell it however she wants. My name is "Stefani", it''s my name, not a spelling error. My favorite way to spell that name is Madelaine but as she suggested "Adalyn" I was just trying to make it similar.
