period was a little different but not light?

User Profile
I have not missed a period, it came last week (it was a little different but not light), but I really feel that I'm pregnant. I had protected sex about 4 weeks ago and then 9 days later I had some spotting when I went to the bathroom. Since then I have been tired, pretty constantly nauseated but no vomitting, cramps in my lower back and abdomen and have been getting frequent headaches. I have done 2 tests, both negative (but I realise now that the first one was done too early). Do you think it is possible that I am pregnant? I just really don't feel myself and I like to think I am pretty in-tune with my body. I am confused, I really feel like I am but not sure that I could be.

Welcome to ehealthforum

If you had your normal periods last week then it is not possible to be pregnant.Menstrual cycle occurs when ovulation occurs and if ova is not fertilized it is shed along with the uterine lining.
Spotting could be due to hormonal fluctuations, drug interaction,Pelvic disease, cysts, polyps, stress, thyroid disorder etc.
If the symptoms like headcahe and back pain still persist kindly visit a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

Take Care!
